The timeline . . .

APKH was established in Gaylord, Michigan in 1969. In 1978, Gene Petruska and his partners purchased the practice from the establishing attorney. Elaine Hart’s unshakable commitment to plaintiff law contributed to a need for expansion. In the 80s, that need became a reality when we recognized the lack of plaintiff representation in the Upper Peninsula and established a St. Ignace presence until . . .

2003: Decorated lawyer Linda Miller Atkinson joined our firm as a Senior Partner allowing us to acquire her Channing, Michigan office (just north of Iron Mountain). This affords us the opportunity to serve Northern Lower Michigan and the entire Upper Peninsula. It was a feather in our cap, born of necessity, when we brought former Detroit Attorney, Gary Kozma, onboard around the same time.

We are proud that throughout the past 35 years the attorneys and personnel at Atkinson Petruska Kozma & Hart have remained a close-knit, community-oriented, committed group working toward the same formidable goal:

“To improve the lives of those who are injured or disabled.”

The details . . .

Our attorneys and staff engage in continuing education (as teachers and students), operate state-of-the-art hardware and cutting-edge software to stay technologically competitive in our field and do the best job possible for our clients.

Over the years, partners and associates have changed, but the commitment to our clients has not. We are advocates of injury victims’ rights and believe in fighting for victims and their families when they cannot fight for themselves. We take good care of our clients.

At APKH, our number one source of referrals is our past and current clients. We recognize and appreciate that prior clients refer their friends and family to us should the need arise. They know if you are represented by APKH, your case will be managed in the most professional, efficient manner possible; and provide YOU with the best results.
