Community Involvement

About Us

APKH&C is tightly woven with our communities.

We participate in the Otsego County Adopt-A-Family and Food Pantry campaigns. When a downturn in our economy resulted in a loss of Food Pantry donations, at a time when need was at its highest, we sponsored a 6-hour radio broadcast to make the need known. By the end of the day, we were filling overflow storage and had raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Pantry (equivalent to six months of operating costs). We aren’t bragging – we are proud and fortunate to be able to help those in need in our community.

Proud, too, of our organization of a supply drive for our overseas troops. Collections were accepted for items the troops were requesting. In their honor and out of our utmost respect for their unselfish service to our great country, we mailed the supplies without expectation. But as it turned out, the gift was ours – savored in our hearts and memories.

Every year you can meet-and-greet theAPKH&C attorneys and staff while they help at Alpenfest or when they are participating in the Otsego County Fair Chili Cook Off. A few years ago, we took first place . . . and this time, we are bragging!

And be sure to pick up one of our shark-shaped key chains when you see us—they double as nifty bottle openers!

“As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality.”
