The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is responsible for keeping the public safe when it comes to products that could potentially cause harm. Below are the ten latest recalls from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

April 18, 2018 – Primark is initiating an immediate recall on 14,500 of their decorative cushions due to extreme fire hazard. Consumers are encouraged to return any of the purchased cushions back to the Primark store as soon as possible for a full refund.

April 19, 2018 – Polaris is asking anyone who may have purchased any of the 5,600 Phoenix 200 All-Terrain Vehicles to cease use and examine the throttle limiter immediately for signs of damage that may have been caused by shipping. If you happen to possess one of the damaged units, Polaris has agreed to provide free repairs for your convenience.

April 19, 2018  – Polaris is recalling 10,900 Ranger XP Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles as a result of potential injuries that may occur from the seat belt bracket separating from the frame. Consumers who have already purchased this product are encouraged to stop use. If Polaris has not already contacted you about an inspection or necessary repairs, please contact your local Polaris dealer to schedule an inspection and/or receive your repairs.

April 19, 2018 – Wild & Wolf is alerting parents who may have purchased any of the 2,900 (240 in Canada) Petit Collage Children’s Toy Xylophones to take the beater sticks away from children immediately. The improperly attached ball on the end of the beater stick has been known to separate and pose a choking hazard. Please contact Wild & Wolf for your free replacement.

April 19, 2018 – Base Brands is recalling 2,000 of their Water Bottles due to traces of lead on the bottles exterior that exceed federal standards. If Costco or Amazon has not yet contacted you about this issue, please reach out to them immediately for your refund or replacement water bottle.

April 20, 2018 – Briggs & Stratton is currently recalling 201,000 (+5,400 in Canada) Surface Cleaners due to spray bars breaking and detaching from the central hub and posing injury hazards for consumers. Please contact them immediately for steps to register online for your free replacement Surface Cleaner.

April 24, 2018 – Honeywell is recalling 82,500 (+65,550 in Canada) Hard Hats after evidence of failure to accurately protect users from impact. Consumers are encouraged to cease use and contact Honeywell for a product credit or voucher equal to its original purchase price.

April 25, 2018 – HD Supply is asking consumers who have purchased any of their 144,000 recalled Ceiling Fans to stop use and request a free repair due to the fact that the brackets connected to the fan blades can break and cause the blades to fall, resulting in potential impact injuries. If HD Supply has not yet contacted you, please reach out to them about your free repair kit as soon as possible.

May 1, 2018 – Premier Kitchen Products is currently recalling 19,000 (+230 in Canada) of both Frigidaire and Shaper Image Mandoline Slicers due to risks of laceration after small blades detach from its plastic assembly. Anyone possessing this product is encouraged to reach out to Premier Kitchen Products for a $15 gift card refund as soon as possible.

May 2, 2018 – 107,200 (+ 8,800 in Canada) Children’s Cardigan Sets from Carter’s are currently being recalled due to detachable toggle buttons on the cardigans. This poses a serious choking hazard for young children. Parents are urged to take them away from children immediately and return them to a local Carter’s store for a gift card refund of the same value. Carter’s Consumer Affairs will also send free return labels and envelopes for returning cardigans for electronic gift cards.
